The Kafeneon
The coffee houses or 'Kafenion' are mostly frequented by the local men of the village. Here they can indulge in Cyprus coffee, beer and spirits whilst playing cards and 'Tavli' (otherwise know as Backgammon) with their mates. Friday and Saturday evenings, most Kafeneon will provide a meze service or kebabs at a reasonable price.

Tavernas
Within the viilage itself there are four or five tavernas serving traditional Greek meze, steaks, and other popular dishes. There are also take-away establishments, bars (low key) and a couple of traditional Greek coffee houses.

If you fancy something a little different, then you need to head down to the tourist strip (coastal road between Voroklini and Pyla) where you will find a wider selection from Fish & Chips and burgers to Sushi and curry. See listings below for further details.
